Sushi Pregnancy Safe

Sushi and pregnancy?

I love sushi. I was told I can have california rolls. I looked online to see if I can have the tobiko, it’s usually rolled in caviar called Salmon Roe. Does anyone know if this is safe to eat? I looked online and it said only if it is pasteurized. What is pasteurized caviar?

I would avoid sushi all together. One of my best friends ate a bunch of sushi at 7 months and got sick from it. She had to deliver the baby early and both of them were in the hospital for weeks. She couldn’t even breast feed because of all the medications they had to give her to fight off the sickness from the sushi.

I know you might be craving it but after seeing what my friend and her baby went through I would have to say that its not worth the risk.
